The creation of Meeka Finds a Home started with a client who one day said to me, "My husband and I want to create a children's book that tells the story of how our cat, Meeka, came to us. And we want our grandkids to be part of the story." So she and I wrote the story together. They gave me pictures of themselves and their grandkids, their home, and, of course Meeka. I manipulated the photos into "paintings." When the story and illustrations were complete, I designed the book with pictures and text and had it printed.

The reasons to create a book are many. Your organization, church, or even the town you live in might want to share its history with people. Or you might want to create something personal for yourself or your family, as was the intention of this book. It can be made available online. Or just shared with friends and family.
